What this means: For simple bill entry, both systems work. Odoo becomes more relevant when purchasing needs to be triggered automatically by stock levels or sales demand rather than raised manually.

Inventory tracking (quantity on hand, cost of goods sold) is available on QuickBooks Plus and Advanced only; it is not present on Simple Start or Essentials.

Odoo Inventory is a full warehouse-management application: multiple locations, routes, replenishment rules and traceability, not just a stock count.

What this means: If the business is on Simple Start or Essentials, there is effectively no native stock tracking to compare — that alone may already be a reason to look elsewhere.

What this means: For financial reporting on its own, QuickBooks is already a mature, well-regarded product. The Odoo advantage is combining operational and financial data in one report, not superior accounting reports in isolation.

What QuickBooks data can be moved?

A migration typically looks at customers, suppliers, products or services, accounting structures, taxes, invoices, bills and payments. The final scope depends on your data and requirements.

Can historical invoices and payments be migrated?

Often, yes, with the relationships between invoices and payments considered rather than moved as unrelated lists. The amount of history to bring across is a project decision.

What happens to my chart of accounts?

The chart of accounts is reviewed and mapped to an appropriate Odoo structure. This is a good moment to tidy the structure if needed rather than copying it unchanged.

Can Wedoo configure Odoo as well as migrate the data?
